It is easy for kids and pets to make little vase fall on the wood laminate floor. And the water from vase wets and damages the floor. So it is much better to fix the vase on laminate. There are several ways below to do the work:

1. He can attach the vase to laminated flooring with brute force glue if the vase will be fixed on the same places forever. Or he can nail the bottom of vase and fix the vase on floor if the vases are made of iron or wood or some other materials which can be nailed. The bottom of vase will cover the bore and don’t affect the look of laminate.

2. He can buy some heavy vase with low barycenter. Kids and pets usually don’t have big power. It is difficult for them to make heavy vase fall.

3. He can set up a bracer for the vase if the room is big enough. For example, wooden baskets can work as bracers if they are around the vase and fixed on the wood laminate floor with glue.

Someone has to walk with the help of 1 pair of metal crunch. He likes wood laminate floor to be installed on his room. He is concerned if the metal crunch will break the laminated flooring.

The bottom of the metal crunch should be covered with some special plastic pad or the bottom of the crunch is very obtuse. The metal crunch will not break the floor in this case. The floor will be broken if there is a sharp end at the bottom of the metal crunch. Though wood laminate floor  is strong abrasion resistant, the floor will be broken if its surface is often heavily pressed with the sharp end of metal things.

The thickness of wood laminate floor is mainly 2 types: 8mm and 12mm. Both of them have their own advantages and disadvantages. Buyers can make a decision after learning their characteristic. There are no essential difference between the 2 thickness.

1. Thermal conductivity
8mm laminate flooring is better is than 12mm as 8mm is thinner.

2. Foot feel
12mm laminate flooring is better than 8mm as 12mm is thicker and offers more elasticity.

3. Noise
And there is less noise when people steps on 12mm. Laminate is a floating type. The thinner, the more floating. And more floating results in more noise. Attached underlayment can reduce most of the noise.

4. Appearance
Many types of 12mm flooring offers hardwood like appearance such as painted V groove and pressed V groove and hand scraped surface which makes your home looks more valuable. On the contrary, few type of 8mm wood laminate floor can give this kind of appearance.

5. Price
12mm is more expensive than 8mm, the most popular type, due to its thickness.

Someone wants to install half place with wood laminate floor and the balance with carpet. And he wonders if there is some points need to be cared.

1. It will be better for him to install laminated flooring first as carpet can be cut freely. And it is easier to cut carpet.

2. The carpet reducer will be an idea selection for the transition between wood laminate floor and carpet. It covers the edge of laminate, carpet, underlay and transition space.

3. Expansion space should be offered between the floor and carpet, otherwise the laminate will push the carpet and make it rugate when laminate “floats or expands”.

1. Hardwood like wood laminate floor can make it. Hardwood flooring can make room more valuable. Hardwood like laminate also can make your room a bit more valuable. There are several types of hardwood like laminates: 4-side pressed V grove, 4-side painted V groove and hand scraped surface. Hand scraped surface also offers antique feel. And it will be better if its size is like that of hardwood. The length can be 807mm and 600mm. And the width can be 90mm, 120mm and 145mm.

2. 12mm laminate flooring and wood laminate floor with attached underlay offers better foot feel and reduce most of the sound when people step on them. So both of them make the relevant room more valuable.

3. It will be better if the color of laminate flooring match the colors of the wall and ceiling and furniture well, which will make the whole room offers artistic feel.

1. There is gap between wall and the laminate flooring accessory. This is because the location of nail is not reseasonable or the wall is not even. You can insert more nail or use some special padding material to insert the gap.

2. The height different is too much at the joint. This is because the installation method is not correct or the subfloor is not even. You can install again in correct way or make the subfloor even first.

3. The wood laminate floor accessory push up at the joints. This is because there is expansion space when the air or the wall becomes moist. You can take the accessory down and offer the resonable expansion space when install the new accessory again.

4. There is white dirt in large area on the flooring accessory. And the white dirt is not easy to be get rid of with special tool. This is due to the quality problem of the accessory.  You can require the seller or relevant manufacturer to replace the 1. There is gap between wall and the laminate flooring accessory. Some wood laminate floor separated after installation. There are 3 possible reasons for the separation.

1. The locking system doesn’t work well. The boards will separate if the locking system is too loose or broken.

2. If normal tongue & groove is used at the joint, glue should be used at the joint. There will be gap after some time of installation if the quality of glue is bad or can’t work well.

3. There should be some laminate flooring accessory such as T-moulding to separate laminate flooring if its area is over 8m*10m as the boards need spare space to shrink when temperature is lower.

Rough surface includes big embossed surface, middle embossed finish, little embossed finish and feather grain finish. Wood laminate floor with rough surface is strong skid resistant. The difference among the 3 types of embossed finishes is the sizes of embossment. You can see this from their name. Embossment makes the surface artisitc. Feather grain finish flooring is something like numerous orderly little ear. It is an antique imitation type. Feather grain and big embossed finshes looks especially beautiful with big width such as 297mm. But the surfaces sometime will affect the look of the design. Rough finish also reduce the antiwearing turns of the abrasion resistance layer.
